Keeping your roof clean is an important part of your roof maintenance plan. Clean shingles and other roofing materials to avoid buildup and formation of moss, lichens or algae, which can cause long-term problems.
Use a pressure washer on asphalt and other shingles to blast off possible harmful growth, but make sure to go slow and stay safe; a slippery roof is a dangerous roof. You can also hire a contractor for periodic roof cleaning.
Flat Roof Maintenance
A regular maintenance plan is a necessity for keeping a flat roof in optimal working condition. For proper flat roof maintenance, watch for and correct any:
